The New England Patriots may be trying to recruit Kendrick Lamar.

After seeing K.Dot don a varsity jacket, bearing the reigning  Super Bowl champions throwback logo in the “King Kunta” video, Patriots defensive end Chandler Jones believes the rap star deserves to represent his team officially.

Jones recently told TMZ., that since many of the Pats are fans, Kendrick should serve as an ambassador for the team – similar to Drake’s role with the Toronto Raptors.

“It would be really cool. I’m a huge fan of his and a lot of people on my team are too,” Jones told TMZ. “I’ve seen [Kraft] in a lot of photos with iconic rappers like Rick Ross and artists like Usher. I would say he’s a very hip hop owner … so I‘m just saying he wouldn’t mind some Kendrick.”

Within the “King Kunta” visual, Lamar also wears a royal blue Los Angeles Dodgers hat. The Compton, California native is scheduled to throw out the opening pitch at Dodgers Stadium on April 27.
