So So Def Recordings founder Jermaine Dupri is scheduled to speak with student entrepreneurs at Georgia Tech tomorrow (March 26), according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

The Atlanta native rose to prominence through his imprint, So So Def, which provided a recording home for a stable of artists in the early ‘90s.

Dupri is responsible for launching the careers of Kris Kross, Xscape, Jagged Edge and Bow Wow, among others.

He is a Grammy Award-winning producer and has worked with artists such as Ludacris, Usher, Jay Z, Puff Daddy and Mariah Carey, among others.

In a 2014 interview with the Business Chronicle, Dupri explained why he became a recognized industry leader.

“I do what I got to do to make sure I can become who I am,” Dupri said at the time. “I stay on top of my work. You got to do the work. I know for me that’s the only thing I thought would propel me. I had to outwork everybody.”

Aside from enjoying a fruitful music career, Dupri is the co-founder of the social networking community Global 14. The website’s other co-founder, Cory Levy, is also slated to speak at Georgia Tech.

Dupri and Levy are slated to address students enrolled in Georgia Tech’s Scheller College of Business specifically on Thursday and are scheduled to visit Emory University on Saturday (March 28).
