The turntablist documentary film Scratch which blew away audiences at this year’s Sundance festival, will be released to North American audiences this summer. Palm pictures will distribute the film to the masses and will also handle the soundtrack. Movie-goers can expect to see the film in their locals theatres after this summer’s Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France, where Scratch will show again.

The movie boasts the Hughes brothers as executive producers, and chronicles the history of the D.J. It features a number of prominent West Coast tablists like DJ Q-Bert and MixMaster Mike of the ISP, fellow Bay-area beatman DJ Shadow, and Cut Chemist, of Jurassic 5 and Ozomatli.
