Krayzie Bone says he would have preferred it if one of Eazy-E’s sons would have been the one portraying the late rapper in the forthcoming N.W.A biopic, Straight Outta Compton.

In June, it was announced that Jason Mitchell will play Eazy-E in Straight Outta Compton. Mitchell has appeared in Broken City andContraband, among other films.

In July, Lil Eazy-E said that he is a good representation of his father. “I am my father,” Lil Eazy-E said at the time. “I look like him. I sound like him.”

“To me, like, I don’t think nobody else knows him better and I think it should have been more time taken out to give him an acting coach, like to teach him ‘cause it’s not that far off,” Krayzie Bone says during an exclusive interview with HipHopDX that was first published today (August 13) in DX Daily. “He has his father’s trademarks. He has his father’s personality. I think it should have been a little more time taken to get him prepped for that role. I understand an actor’s an actor, but this dude’s son and he can be taught the ropes of Hollywood to bring his father’s character alive.”
