The fallout from the Vibe awards keep coming as police add Marion “Suge” Knight to their investigation list. Denying any involvement of the attack on Dr. Dre that left one man hospitalized with stab wounds, Suge Knight has repeatedly told police that he had no prior knowledge of what occur. After being released from prison in 2001 one of the many conditions of Suge Knight’s parole was to have no contact with Dr. Dre. Suge allegedly entered the Vibe Awards on November 16th without an invitation and sat a few feet away from Dr. Dre. Jimmy Johnson who attacked Dre and was later injured is currently being represented by Suge’s former attorney Milton Grimes and denies being involved with Suge Knight.
“As far as I know, my client has no ties whatsoever to Suge Knight”, Milton said. The department of corrections in Los Angeles is currently reviewing the awards footage to see what Suge did before and during the fight to see if he violated his parole. “We are conducting and investigation to determine whether any parole violations took place with Knight at the awards show. Mr. Knight has some special conditions attached to his parole, and we are working with the Santa Monica police to evaluate all the circumstances that took place that evening”, Alfred Martinez, parole administrator of Los Angeles said.
