Seven years after her son’s death Voletta Wallace is still pursuing the shooting of The Notorious BIG also known as Christopher Wallace with heavy persistence. Ms. Wallace has dropped a wrongful death lawsuit against Amir Muhammad and reached a confidential settlement, whom she believed was actually involved in Biggie’s March 9, 1997 death at the Petersen Automotive Museum. Amir Muhammad also known as Harry Billups has always denied any involvement in Biggie’s death and offered to take a lie detector test.
The settlement they reached after a pretrial deposition, did not have any monetary payment exchanged. Though he is no longer named in the lawsuit Ms. Wallace still has a lawsuit against the city of Los Angeles and David Mack, a former LA police officer who is currently serving a 14-year prison sentence for bank robbery. Muhammad’s name was added to the ongoing investigation into Biggie’s death after David Mack allegedly mentioned to an inmate that Biggie’s killer had a “middle eastern” sounding name.
