Dun Deal says that Young Thug’s “Stoner” track does not fully showcase the Atlanta rapper’s artistry.

“He dumbed it down,” Dun Deal says. “Cause usually Thug likes to be intricate with songs. I mean this was still an intricate song, but I think the fact that he likes to go all over the place and I made a beat that was all over the place, so it kind of suits him.”

Dun Deal has been producing tracks for Young Thug for years, saying the process for this track was no different.

“The process for ‘Stoner,’ honestly it’s really nothing different from everything else,” Deal says. “Usually it takes about 15-20 minutes to make a beat and 15-20 for him to record a song.”

In addition to his work with Young Thug, Dun Deal says he has been in the studio with Que, Rich Homie Quan and Isaiah Rashad this year.

Isaiah Rashad’s really cool,” he says. “He’s really down-to-earth and has a great sense of music.”

Now that he’s an accomplished producer, Dun Deal is working on his own compilation album.

“I don’t want it to just be an Atlanta mixtape, so I’m working with everybody,” he says. “I’m coming to California to work with a few people. Kind of want it to be a surprise on who I have on the mixtape.”
