Back in April of 2013, then Brick Squad 1017 partners Gucci Mane and Young Scooter were both arrested in Atlanta, Georgia’s nearby DeKalb County. It would be later be reported by MTV RapFix that the two subsequently shared a jail cell at the DeKalb County Jail.

Recently sitting down with Vlad TV, Young Scooter confirmed that he did in fact share a jail cell with Gucci for two months and described his time with him when they were incarcerated.

“[We were] still wondering how to get out this motherfucker,” Young Scooter said when asked about what it was like to share a cell with Gucci Mane. “Me and him being in a cell, that shit ain’t good. ‘[They would be like] hey, him and Gucci in the same cell together, this shit ain’t good, you stupid motherfuckers.’ I need to get out of here. That’s all I was thinking was how to get out of here. How both of us sharing a cell together is really crazy. A lot of other people get a thrill off of it but we were really in there like man, we trippin.'”

Scooter was also asked about why Gucci Mane was not involved in his latest mixtape, Street Lottery 2, to which he replied by stating that Gucci’s current jail bid was the primary factor.

“It’s a shame he locked up. I don’t know what he going to do,” Young Scooter said. “[We were] going to do that I just want it to be the right timing. I just want everything to be right. We were really just focused on his situation right now. He ain’t really worried about that, he ain’t in the right situation.”

Gucci Mane was arrested for a probation violation on April 12. His arrest came less than 24 hours after he was released on $75,000 bond, from Fulton County Jail, awaiting trial on a aggravated assault charge. It was also revealed that Young Scooter was also arrested on April 8 for his own probation violation during a traffic stop.
