From appearing as himself in two different video games and movies to working on his latest’s album Snoop Dogg isn’t settling for just being a rapper. He can now add host to his list of duties. Snoop Dogg will take to the stage as host of Spike TV’s second annual Video Game Awards (VGA) which will be televised live on December 14th. “Snoop is an icon and the perfect example of how Hollywood and the music industry have embraced the video game genre and catapulted it into pop culture”, Casey Patterson, co-executive producer of VGA. “He’s a platinum recording artist, a movie star and a true gamer. Snoop’s an original and we’re excited to have him as host of this year’s show he’s hilarious and always brings the party with him”.

Nominees for this years award’s will be announced later this month. The show will be broadcast at Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, California at 9 pm. You can catch Snoop appearing in “NBA Live 2003”, “True Crime: Streets of LA” and the new “Def Jam; Fight for NY”.
