Late last year, Atlanta rapper T.I. and his family partnered up to create the VH1 holiday special, “Holiday Hustle,” and again the Hustle Gang helmsman plans on working with his family on yet another project. While speaking with ThisIs50.com, T.I. revealed that along with his kids, he’ll be working with Russell Simmons on a new video game titled Green Rocks.
T.I. says his son Domani Harris will help in creating the music for the video game while his other children well help develop the game’s characters.
“Me and the kids we actually working alongside Russell Simmons and we working on a video game actually,” T.I. said. “Domani is doing the music for it. And we are—the kids—and collectively we’re I guess you could call it designing characters. It’s a huge opportunity for us. And I appreciate Russ and Natalia and the rest of the people, man. It’s called Green Rocks. I appreciate them for offering the opportunity and entrusting us with the opportunity to show what we can do and how we can contribute. And I’m looking forward to it.”
In addition to revealing the news of his latest endeavor, T.I. shared his thoughts on what it takes to be considered a king.
“Man, I believe it takes to find a way to feed everybody, protect everybody, and not compromise your integrity in the process,” he said.
In a previous interview with ThisIs50.com, T.I. spoke on fellow artist Trinidad James and the Atlanta emcee’s comments on the South running New York rap. T.I. went on to explain that in order for James’ comments to be taken seriously he would need to be further in his career.
“Trinidad is authorized to speak on Trinidad. That’s one,” T.I. said. “And this is not a derogatory statement towards Trinidad, but he can’t speak for me. And since I am a part of Atlanta, I don’t think it’s adequate that he speak for the entire population of Atlanta. So, I just don’t think that, with all due respect, I don’t think he’s come that far and walked that walk enough yet to where that will be accepted without ridicule.”
