Fat Joe Believes Kendrick Lamar Has Backed Out Of Drake Beef: ‘I Think That’s Over’

Fat Joe has shared that he thinks the Drake/Kendrick Lamar beef may be running out of steam, and that he’s doubtful Kendrick will fire back.

In a recent livestream captured by Say Dat Tv, Joe weighed in on the situation that has captivated Hip Hop for weeks.

He said that he doesn’t believe a response by Kendrick Lamar to the series of Drake diss songs is forthcoming.

Hip Hop beef can go real bad,” he said beginning at the 3:30 mark. “I don’t think Kendrick’s cooking up… I think that’s over. It don’t take three or four weeks [to record a response].”

Another thing Joe discussed during the stream was the fact that 2Pac’s estate threatened legal action against Drake for his use of the rapper’s voice in his Kendrick-dissing “Taylor Made Freestyle.”

“[T]he 2Pac family wanna sue Drake,” Joe continued. “I thought it was creative, using the AI 2Pac and pushing the envelope. But I got no horse in this game. I wish they would all get along.”

On Wednesday (April 24), Billboard obtained and published a cease-and-desist letter from litigator Howard King to the Canadian superstar for using a computer-generated replica of the West Coast icon’s voice on his latest song. The Death Row Records legend’s estate is threatening to “pursue all of its legal remedies” if he doesn’t pull down the track in question within 24 hours of receiving the notice.

“The Estate is deeply dismayed and disappointed by your unauthorized use of Tupac’s voice and personality,” the note reads. “Not only is the record a flagrant violation of Tupac’s publicity and the estate’s legal rights, it is also a blatant abuse of the legacy of one of the greatest hip-hop artists of all time. The Estate would never have given its approval for this use.

“The unauthorized, equally dismaying use of Tupac’s voice against Kendrick Lamar, a good friend to the Estate who has given nothing but respect to Tupac and his legacy publicly and privately, compounds the insult.”

Pac’s brother has also publicly reprimanded Drizzy for the AI assists. According to an article published by TMZ earlier this week, Mopreme Shakur thinks it was inappropriate for the 6 God to use his sibling to disrespect another rapper.

He reportedly feels that the “Hotline Bling” hitmaker should’ve gone one-on-one with K. Dot rather than resort to what he calls the “nuclear option.”

    1. Drake is the best rapper ever. I don’t care if he doesn’t write his own rhymes. I don’t care if he is actually from a nice neighborhood and still acts tough. He will surpass Eminem in sales eventually and that’s all that matters. It’s why Taylor Swift is the goat because she sells the most.

      1. its the same metric ppl use to say eminem is so great. dude hasn’t put out a solid project in 20 years lol but he sells a lot so

    2. Kendrick didn’t back out. He killed him with 1 verse. Drake made 2 WHOLE songs in fear of a response.

      1. 1) he didn’t kill anything with those weak ass lines.

        2) when did releasing diss songs become a fearful thing to do?

Kendrick groupies love rewriting the narrative. At first, y’all said drake was scared to drop lmao

      2. If the Kendrick diss was weak, no one would’ve responded. Drake was literally crying and spilling his guts on stage over this Kendricks “weak” diss, and making forgettable diss tracks out of fear that came and went. Meanwhile Like That plays on the radio everyday and is breaking records. Kendrick back to backed Drake like he did to Meek Mill. Drake is really hurt and shook to death and you miscellaneous nigg@s are mad as hell and butthurt too! Get over it! LOL

    3. 90 percent of the garbage posted on this absolute joke of a website is about fruitcake Drake. LIKE LITERALLY 90 PERCENT! To the entire non-credible, fraudulent, embarrassing, laughable, corny, cringy, retarded DuncecapD/X SHIT STAFF: YOU SUPER SLOW SH0RT BUS RIDERS HAVE ALREADY REACHED YOUR OVER RATED AF FRUIT CAKE DRAKE AND KENDRICK LAMER/COLE/FUTURE DISS QUOTA FOR THE MONTH LIKE 105 ARTICLES AGO. STUCK ON STUPID AZZ MFERS GET DRAKE’S BUTT HOLE OUT OF YOUR MOUTHS AND GO GET REAL JOBS WHERE YOU CAN ACTUALLY MAKE SOME REAL MONEY AND NOT LAUGHED AT BY EVERYONE EVERY SINGLE DAY THE WAY YOU DICKHEADS DO NOW. THIS WHOLE RE T@RDED TR@SH STAFF ARE THE POSTER LOSERS FOR WHAT N0T TO BE IN LIFE.

    4. Ok so….#1 = Drake, he does have the best diss / only song in the top 3 debate. #2 Kendrick…he had lines(soft ass lines) but didn’t apologize for then.#3 just j.cole…you don’t apologize and never retract the song….it’s a wrap. Kendrick, the subliminals and corny t line references ends here and now. At least Drake had the balls to make a track.
