Beyonce’s self-titled visual album iTunes exclusive, which was released today (December 13), has sold more than 80,000 copies in 3 hours, reports billboard.com

The iTunes video album exclusive is not set to be available until December 20. The project includes 14 selections and 14 accompanying videos with additional bonus content. For now, it is unclear when Beyonce is set to be available in other outlets, as per billboard.com.

Beyonce is projected to land at #1 in the week’s top albums chart. Her project’s selling of 80,000 copies has matched half of the projected sales figures for Garth Brooks’ Blame It All On My Roots: Five Decades Of Influences in three hours. Brooks’ disc was expected to be #1 with projections of 150,000-160,000 units sold, according to billboard.com, before the Beyonce surprise release.

Beyonce’s new album was a surprising release to all but a dozen or so members of Sony Records, according to billboard.com.
