Rich Homie Quan, who released his new mixtape I Promise I Will Never Stop Going In yesterday (November 26), recently spoke about the project and how it reflects his lifestyle.

“It’s really like life after Still Goin’ In,” Quan says in an interview with xxlmag.com. “You can hear the fun I’m having now. Like I said, it’s some of my best work. On my first mixtape I didn’t have a lot of money so a lot of my stories were about being broke. Now I’ve got a little money so in my stories I’m having a little fun and I’m enjoying myself. I want you to come into my world.”

During the interview, Quan also spoke about the importance of being consistently successful in the music industry.

“I just want something with longevity,” Quan says in the interview when speaking about signing a record deal. “I want something that’s gonna last. I don’t wanna be here this year and you don’t know where I am next year. So I’m just trying to make the right decision and make sure all my i’s are dotted and my t’s are crossed. It’s not even about the money because I know in the music business you accumulate money so many ways. It’s about being the best throughout my whole career. Five years from now I wanna be on top. Ten years from then I still wanna be on top. I wanna make sure that whatever label I sign with believes in me the way I believe in me. That’s it really.”

Quan recently spoke about the new mixtape and its significance to his career

“I want everyone to know that it’s very special to me,” Quan said in an interview with Power 107.5. “I haven’t dropped a mixtape in a year and I’ve been riding on this deal going in for a year,” adds Quan. “I feel as if before I do sign a deal, I owe it to the streets and I owe it to myself because without the streets I wouldn’t be where I’m at. I got something very special.”
