After gathering together last month for their first show in over five years, Wu-Tang is now taking their act to the stores when they release the album “Disciples of the 36 Chambers” on September 28th. The CD follows the performance on July 17th at the Rock the Bells festival in San Bernardino, California that showcased nine of the original members. “I feel this can be the rebirth of another Wu-Tang era and the group has increased its vitality,” the RZA said. The album will feature such hits as “Shame on a N***a”, “Brooklyn Zoo”, Incarcerated Scarfaces” and “Bring the Pain”.

A DVD will follow the release of the album and hit stores October 12th. The Wu-Tang book “The Wu-Tang Manual” is also still on the road to being completed. According to billboard, senior editor for Riverhead Books Sean McDonald says the book is “80 to 90 percent complete”. We have most of the manuscript at this point and most of the photos. It is all basically RZA’s thing, although there have been various kinds of direct input from all over the place. What you quickly realize about them is that even their solo stuff is totally informed by everyone else in the group.”
