In its second week, Kanye’s Yeezus tour has already garnered a great deal of attention. On the opening night of the tour, the rapper made headlines when a video of West performing “Jesus Walks” alongside a man dressed as Jesus was released. He later defended the use of that particular addition to his show during an interview with San Francisco’s Wild 94.9.
“One of the things that I wanted to really get across with that message is that you can have a relationship with Jesus, that you can talk to Jesus,” said Kanye. “In the same way how someone will have ‘Jesus is My Homeboy’ [on a T-shirt], that is the way I would express it and the way I create, is that you can have a relationship with Jesus, that you can talk to him.”
Kanye also released a line of merchandise exclusive to his tour. Among the numerous items available for purchase is a t-shirt, which features the Confederate flag along with the image of a skull and the words, “I ain’t comin’ down.” On top of being available for purchase at various Yeezus tour stops, the merchandise can also be purchased at select PacSun stores.
