Although he’s left rap alone, for a minute anyway Jay-Z wants to give fans the opportunity of a lifetime. As part of his plans to do more community outreaching programs, Jay-Z has asked Queen Latifah, Tyra Banks, Joy Bryant, Fergie of the Black Eye Peas and of course Beyonce to design their own S. Carter women’s tennis shoe that will be auctioned off. The proceeds from the sale of the show will be donated to the Shawn Carter Scholarship Fund.
In addition to receiving the shoe the winning bidder of each show will receive a celebrity sketch of the designed shoe and an authentic autograph. Beginning July 19th at the bidding will start at $100.00 and end at July 28th on www.rbk.com. The Shawn Carter Scholarship Fund was created in 2003 to assists disadvantaged youth or former inmates who wish to fulfill their dreams of going to college.
