Tired of having his music restricted on radio stations, Eminem will now be the owner of his very own radio station. Shady Records and Interscope Records have partnered with Sirius Radio to put together an all hip-hop music channel. DJ Green Lantern, Eminem and other Shady recording artists will host the many shows they plan to introduce. Eminem is happy to partner with a Sirius Radio, who has allowed his music to be played without restrictions.
“Once upon a time not too long ago, the Feds wanted all my music off the air. Now we’ll be on Sirius 24 hours a day, playing the best hip-hop—not just from Shady Records, but from everywhere. We’ll deliver an uncut hip-hop radio station”, Eminem said in a statement. For Eminem fans, the channel will be an added bonus because he plans to use it to release new Shady music. “I can’t wait to start dropping new material, exclusive tracks and uncensored hip-hop featuring me and everyone else, freely saying whatever the hell we want”. The 24-hour music station is expected to hit airwaves in the fall.
