In Joe Budden’s response to last week’s Big Sean, Kendrick Lamar and Jay Electronica “Control (HOF)” mania, “Lost Control,” the Slaughterhouse rapper spoke about a variety of emcees, from Kendrick Lamar to Meek Mill. Another artist Budden mentioned was Joey Bada$$.

“We talking bars, then this whole conversation changed,” Budden says on “Lost Control.” “Fuck all the subliminals, now niggas saying names / Some of these O.G.s, I laugh at / Y’all don’t know me to half-ass / To me, it’s just one Joey that’s bad-ass.” 

Bada$$ apparently heard about the song and he let his opinion of the line be known via Twitter.

Several other rappers have also responded to Kendrick Lamar’s verse on Twitter and in songs, including Cassidy, Papoose and Joe Budden’s Slaughterhouse group mate, Joell Ortiz. Hours after Lamar’s original verse was released, Budden also exchanged words on Twitter with another rapper, Styles P
