After spending 81 weeks on the charts, Lil Jon and the East Side Boyz have officially been certified double platinum. The “Kings of Crunk” album which featured such artists as Pitbull, Mystical, Krazyie Bone,Pastor Troy, E-40 and Jadakiss introduced Crunk Music to hip-hop in a major way and is still the number one selling independent album in the country. Lil Jon and the Eastside Boyz are preparing to release their new album “Crunk Juice” in October on TVT Records. Lil Jon will being a new job in the next couple of weeks as a reporter on the red carpet for MTV at this year’s Movie Awards. Expect to get all the news dirty south style, YEAH!
Although Snoop Dogg’s career is flying high with his new movie “Soul Plane” begin released in theatre’s this Friday, his personal life may be hitting a sour note. After seven years of marriage Snoop Dogg has filed for divorce from his wife Shante Broadus citing “irreconcilable differences”. “The only thing I want to say is Mr. Broadus hopes that the divorce can be as amicable as possible,” Snoop Dogg’s attorney, Robert Nachshin stated to The Associated Press. Besides the movie Snoop’s upcoming movie, he is currently in the studio with Nate Dogg and Warren G for their first 213 album on TVT Records.
