After the departure of their third member Baatin, Slum Village has reemerged and continued as a duo T3 and Elzhi with their new album “Detroit Deli (A Taste of Detroit) preparing to hit the streets next month. After the breakout success with their single “Tainted”, Slum Village became one of hip-hop’s group’s to watch. Their first single “Selfish” produced by Kanye West. The single is currently gaining momentum on the billboard charts.

“I see Slum Village like the Temptations,” T3 told Billboard. “They kept rotating members and it happens a lot in the industry. People go through situations where they want to do their own thing and I’m kind of like the David Ruffin type of guy in the group. I represent the foundation that’s always been there and that will always be there”. Other guest appearances on the album are made by Jay Dee, a former member and Ol Dirty Bastard on the track “Dirty”. “Detroit Deli” will hit stores on June 29th.
