The exclusive American Express Card is a pass to have unlimited spending anywhere in the world. After celebrating his Source Magazine cover, the company presented him with the card to do as he pleases.
In order to be eligible to receive the card, you have to spend at least $150,000 a year. Once they deem you worthy to receive the card you will join the ranks of Russell Simmons, Sean Combs, Denzel Washington, Damon Dash Lil Kim (who wears a small replica on a chain around her neck) and now Kanye West. Having called it the “African American Express Card”, Kanye is more than happy to step in the big leagues with the black card. According to an American Express representative said, “It’s a sign you’ve arrived” for the few thousand CEO’s, athletes, artists and entrepreneurs who own the card.
