Showing that “Crunk Music” didn’t just get its start in Atlanta, TVT Records is hoping to reintroduce some of the dirty south’s hottest songs on the “Crunk Classics” compilation album. With some of the south’s hottest artists such as Too Short, Three Six Mafia, UGK, Drama and Petey Pablo, this disc is sure to get anybody “crunk” educated! “It was important in putting together the track listing for this album to not only celebrate the current leaders of the Crunk movement but to give the early pioneers their due,” Bryan Leach , VP of Urban A&R said. “As a label we’ve been hugely responsible for the current success of the movement so it was a project that felt natural”. The album is expected to hit stores this summer.
