At a recent autograph session sponsored by Detroit radio station, 1059 at Northland mall, Young Gunz were involved in an altercation with local area gang members.
“From what I’ve heard, the people in questioned were affiliated.” Says Def Jam Rep Drew Rives. “I was not there for the Young Gunz session, I was with Kanye. But, I was told that some bangers were trying to run up on the Gunz…I don’t know the reason why. But, security chose to end the session and get them back to their hotel.”
According to security personnel at the autograph session a young woman was attempting to get more than the allotted two autographs and was holding up the line…someone said “Bitch” and the young woman’s male companion and some of his friends thought that one of the Young Gunz had called the woman a bitch and rushed the stage.
Approximately 5 people were escorted off the mall premises by security. After about half an hour Kanye West made an appearance on stage and it was all love again from the audience.
