In a major move to make his clothing line “the urban Ralph Lauren’, Sean “P.Diddy” Combs is set to make a purchase that will push his five year old Sean John clothing company straight to the top of the fashion industry. P.Diddy is set to acquire a huge portion of Zac Posen, one of New York’s newest designers creating a partnership between Diddy and the 24 year old white designer.

Since the creation of his line in 1999, Diddy’s men’s sportswear, outerwear and children’s wear has expanded into a $175 million brand. The new deal would be Diddy’s first outside investment and introduce his style to women’s fashion. “I’m intrigued by the industry, and the people have embraced me and my style and my heart for trying to do something different,” he said. What I don’t know, I can learn. If I want to be one of the best, I have to go all out. I’m not afraid.” In August Diddy plans to open his first Sean John Boutique on Fifth Ave in New York and hopefully branch out to create his own Sean John fragrance. Currently Diddy is on Broadway playing a lead role in the play “A Raisin in the Sun”.
