Is Outkast no more? According to Andre 3000, the duo has no plans to split even though their relationship is deteriorating. “If we weren’t doing music, I don’t know if we would still be friends. In a perfect world, this would be the last OutKast record”, Andre 3000 said in the new issue of Blender Magazine about the “Speakerboxx/The Love Below” album. Andre doesn’t speak on what issues have cause the long time friends to grow apart outside of music but says that the group will continue to make music together.
“There’ll be two more Outkast albums, but I’m willing to accept that no matter what I do next, it may not be as big as “Hey Ya!” or Outkast. But it’s a growth thing. Paul McCartney and John Lennon never did anything as big as The Beatles but they still did some cool s**t on their own”. Besides the music Andre is working on a film about the life of Jimi Hendrix as well as a musical film titled “Speakerboxx” alongside Big Boi.
