After selling millions of records for the past ten years, Nas is ready to give back to a few of the people that have always supported him when he needed it. On July 4th Nas is planning to hold a free concert in New York’s Central Park on the Great Lawn to perform for anyone who chooses to come out.

With his seventh album (a double album) “Streets Disciple” slated to hit stores July 6th, the concert would not only coincide with the promotion of the album but any tours that he may plan. “New York is the energy of the world, especially where hip-hop concerned,” Nas told MTV. “There’s no better place to set it off than Central Park. It reminds me of ‘Wild Style’ the movie — Fab Five Freddy and Double Trouble, Busy Bee and Grandmaster Flash and Rock Steady. I want to re-create that moment in Central Park.” Neither Nas nor his record label has given any names but Nas is hoping to recruit “memorable” guest to perform with him.
