Good news for former Cash Money Hot Boy Tab Virgil also known as Turk. A Shelby County Judge Loyce Lambert Ryan says they was not enough evidence to charge Turk with attempted first degree murder in the shooting of deputy Chris Harris on January 26th.
The prosecutor asserted that Turk may have been “laying in wait” with a 9mm pistol at the time the Sheriff’s office executed a search warrant. Although the judge says there was no evidence that the shooting was premeditated there was probable cause for second degree murder. She also dropped his bond from $750,000 to $150,000. Turk’s third album Penitentiary Chances, which he was working on during the time of the shooting, is slated to be released later this month. Alan Gunblatt, Vice President of KOCH Records emailed the Commercial Appeal a statement saying, “”I’ve always been convinced of his innocence, and I’m glad the case has taken a positive turn.” As of late, Turk has not made bail.
