It seems that even the “clean” version of rap songs these days just aren’t clean enough for some.
A Maryland woman is pressing civil charges against Miami rapper Trick Daddy, Atlantic Records and AOL Time Warner, because she says even the supposedly clean version of Thugs Are Us is explicit. The woman bought the album for her son, thinking it had the expletives removed, but she says there are references to oral sex on the album.
She is suing for misrepresentation to consumers and if she wins she may even receive damages.
