The release of Kanye West’s first album “College Dropout” is not only highly anticipated but the beginning of a new era. Roc-A-Fella Records and The Island Def Jam Music have teamed up with Buymusic.com and Napster to create a whole new idea of downloading music legally. Those who purchase Kanye West’s new album online will be able to download videos, live performances and extended access(including recording sessions) that can not be seen anywhere other than online.

In order to gain access to all the extras, after purchasing the album, retailers will email you a unique code that links you to Kanye’s website. More albums will soon be released through this partnership. Although the album has been heavily bootlegged (with such tracks as “Work Out Plan” and “Family Business showing up on mixtapes), Kanye went back into the studio to record new tracks working with such artists as Syleena Johnson on “All Falls Down”, Common(“Get’em High”) and Freeway on “Two Words”. The album hits stores February 10th.
