Although the civil trial against Sean “P.Diddy” Combs just began last week a settlement has already been reached. A day before P. Diddy was set to take the witness stand, an out of court settlement was reached with Wardell Fenderson, the limo drover who drove the car on that fateful December 27, 1999 night. Although Fenderson was seeking $3 million it is not clear what amount he received.
“This case was resolved to the satisfaction of all parties,” Lawrence Bernstein, Fenderson’s attorney said. Fenderson claims he suffered post traumatic stress from the shooting at Club New York and the getaway that happen afterwards. Fenderson alleges after Jennifer Lopez and P. Diddy jumped into the car he drove through red lights at P.Diddy’s insistence and didn’t stop when police signaled him to. He eventually stopped when police boxed him in at 54th street. Once the car was stopped, P. Diddy and his bodyguard were later arrested on gun charges. They were later acquitted of the charges.
