The Notorious B.I.G could have never predicted this for his ex-wife. R & B singer Faith Evans and her husband Todd Russaw, owner of Pedigree multimedia group, were arrested on Tuesday Night (January 27th) for drug possession in Hapeville, Georgia. According to billboard, Evans and Russaw were charged with possession of cocaine and marijuana. Both were taken to the Fulton County Jail. Faith Evans released her last album “Faithfully” in 2001 on Bad Boy Records. A new album is slated to be released this summer on Bad Boy Records according to her website www.faithfullyfaith.com.

Hip-hop fans may soon be taking up seats in the Broadway theatre in New York. Sean “P. Diddy” Combs has been cast in the play “A Raisin in the Sun”. Appearing alongside Diddy will be Phylicia Rashad of the Cosby Show and Audra McDonald from “It Runs in the Family”. The play will begin in March.

Jumping back into the hip-hop scene Imani and Bootie Brown from the hip-hop group The Pharcyde will rejoin forces to release their first album in four years. The album titled “Humboldt Beginnings” will be released in April according to MTV followed by a promotional tour.
