Martha Stewart isn’t the only one in the middle of a jury selection. Sean “P.Diddy” Combs began jury selection this week in the case where his former chauffeur said he was forced to speed away during after a shooting at a nightclub in 1999.
Wardel Fenderson is suing Diddy and Bad Boy Entertainment for three million dollars after he drove the car that P.Diddy and Jennifer Lopez used to get away from the shooting in Club New York in December 27, 1999. According to Fenderson’s lawyer, Lawrence Bernstein “He was afraid that if he stopped (the car), he was going to be hurt by somebody in the car, and if he didn’t, he was going to be hurt by the police”. A gag order has been issued in the case by a Supreme Court justice for attorneys to not discuss the case with reporters. A spokesperson for Diddy said the lawsuit is an attempt to cash in on his fortune.
