With the 15 million dollar lawsuit looming over Damon Dash from alleged rape victim Kirstie Thompson, many wonder what took so long? According to Thompson’s lawyer Raoul Felder, Thompson immediately went to the local police in Brazil (where the incident allegedly happen) who took her story down and sent her to a local hospital for an examination. The Brazil were allegedly said to be looking for Dash but he was said to have left Brazil immediately after wards and the police were said to have lost the file.
Before the allegations were released Dash told the London Evening Standard, “My last proper break was in Brazil. I was up to my ears in Champagne, women and dancing — they party hard there!” But when responding to the current allegations Dash’s spokesperson Amanda Silverman said, “Are completely untrue”. According to the New York Post a friend of Dash’s said, “Damon isn’t going to give her a penny. He will not settle just to make this go away. He wants to clear his name. He’s not worried about one thing”.
