Big Sean is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming sophomore album Hall of Fame: Memoirs of a Detroit Player, releasing in 2013. During an interview with Power 105’s The Breakfast Club, the G.O.O.D. Music rapper explained that he wants to put skits on the LP to channel the sound and feel of classic albums and that the timeframe for this LP allowed for him to do so.
“First of all, I took my time. The one main thing was, I’m never putting out another project without putting skits on it. I know that sounds small, but all the classic albums I grew up listening to had fresh ass skits on it, always,” he said. “I was so mad my first album didn’t have skits. I didn’t have time to think of them, it was too much. This one, we took our time planning out the skits, planning out the exact songs, got way more production. People can tell I stepped the bars up.”
