After having one of the most bootlegged albums that never actually hit the stores, west coast rapper Knoc-turn’al is preparing to release his first official debut album. Two years ago Knoc and his record company Elektra decided not to release his album “Knoc’s Landin” after bootlegging overcame an official release.
“I ain’t mad. It did take a recourse of my album– to recreate a whole other album,” Knoc-turn’al said to BallerStatus. “I wouldn’t do that to myself or the fans, if I fed ‘em something twice, that ain’t fair. The last album was an EP and it got bootlegged like about 5 or 6 months before the album was supposed to come out. They (bootleggers) pressed up 250,000 copies and it was sold out, so I don’t think it was slept on.” Keeping his new album “The Way I Am” from bootleggers has been hard but the album will see stores this time around on February 24th. To promote his album knoc will be hitting the road with Westside Connection later this month to promote his album.
