What’s it like to go from hit producer, recording artist to one of the most wanted new fashion designers to hit the scene. Ask Pharrell Williams of the hit group N.E.R.D also one half of the super-producing group the Neptunes.

In one weekend, a thousand pair of specially designed Nike shoes sold out in stores from New York to Los Angeles. According to MTV, the sneakers are a part of a limited series of Nike commissioned sneakers from artists of all markets (fashion, music and acting). Pharrell’s sneaker is an updated version of the Nike “Dunk Hi” shoe with black leather and a N.E.R.D brain logo on the side. At New York’s Niketown store, customers where lined up Friday at seven am, a full day before the shoe actually was available. All the proceeds from the sneaker go to the Goodwill’s Good Books program. Other shoes on sale over the weekend where designed by Halle Berry and Graffiti artist ESPO.
