Although sales of his last album “Back Again” weren’t where his original goals were, Mr. Cheeks has decided not to let that stop him and start 2004 with a clean slate, literally. Leaving Universal Records, the record company that had been his home for eight years, Mr. Cheeks has now moved his party starting style to an independent label aptly titled “The Commission”.

Under Universal Records Mr. Cheeks released two albums with the hit group The Lost Boyz and two solo albums after the death of Freaky Tah. According to SOHH, Mr. Cheeks plans to release his first album on his new label “Ladies and Ghetto Men” in March. Other plans for 2004 for Mr. Cheeks are to release a DVD titled “All Access With Cheeks” showing him backstage at concerts and other events, jumping on stage to perform for an upcoming New Money Tour and have a starring role in a independent film titled “Brewster’s Project” set for release in the spring of 2004.
