When Juvenile recorded the hit song “HA” in 1998 he did plan on referring to himself as a father who owed back child support, but the Gwinnett Sheriff’s department think differently. An arrest warrant has been issued for Juvenile also known as Terius Gray for child abandonment and failure to pay child support for a six-month-old daughter. A warrant was issued in November after paternity results were concluded that Juvenile is the father of the baby. After the warrant was issued, Juvenile appeared on television questioning if he was really the father of the baby.
“Technically he is a fugitive from justice,” Gwinnett Sheriff’s Lt. Nick Neal said. “We have this warrant in the system and we will wait for an opportunity to arrest him in a jurisdiction that will extradite him here.” Juvenile’s lawyer Tim Fry denies Juvenile is avoiding taking care of his child. “We will not confirm or deny the results of a paternity test. “It is a legal and personal matter, and paternity tests are intended to be private matters. To suggest he is a deadbeat dad couldn’t be further from the truth,” Tim Fry said. “As he has stated before, Juvenile will contribute to the support of any child he has fathered.”
