After presenting Interscope’s “The Next” hip-hop MC contest, Showtime television is again putting hip-hop back at the top of their list with the premiere of the movie “Just Another Story”. Premiering February 2nd at 8:00pm, “Just Another Story” is an unconventional hip-hop musical drama that follows the life of an aspiring rapper. The title character Stix, portrayed by hip-hop artist GQ, the story is set in New York City during the course of one weekend, the night before the biggest hip-hop party in the city.

After going through many different obstacles, Stix must decide how far he is willing to go to achieve his hopes and dreams in the hip-hop world. Riding along with Stix in his musical efforts are several of his friends who go through their own struggles. GQ who appeared in such films as The Bomb-Itty of Errors,” “Drumline,” “On The Line”, not only writes the hip-hop musical, but also directs and stars in it as well.
