Between the press surrounding The Man with Iron Fists and news of a possible reunion LP, the world of Hip Hop has been buzzing with talk of the return of the Wu-Tang Clan. Now, in a recent interview with SOHH, one of the Clan’s own Masta Killa speaks on his partner RZA’s directorial debut.
The Brooklyn-born Killa said that while he has yet to see the Abbot’s film in theaters, he’s exceedingly proud of RZA’s work. He recalled frequenting a number of kung fu film screenings with the new-found director, and said that it’s fulfilling to him to witness RZA’s career lead him to this moment.
“To tell you the truth, brother, I haven’t even see the movie as of yet,” he said. “But just knowing my brother and this has been his vision since we watched kung fu movies on 42nd Street back in the days. So to see his vision finally come to the level of what he saw it? That’s what’s more fulfilling for me more than anything because he finally lived it out how he wanted to do it… I listened to the soundtrack. Oh I definitely listened to the music. I just didn’t get a chance to see the movie yet. I listened to the soundtrack from top to bottom. I gots to do that.”

the soundtrack is dope. the movie was wack. die hard wu lovers will say its good bc rza made it, but to keep it real…it was average at best. a couple of decent fight scenes in the beginning but overall….i was a bit disappointed.
the fake blood ruined it. Other than that it had a potential good story, interesting characters & good fights.
