Although he is currently in jail completing the last four months of his ten-month jail sentence, Suge Knight is still a name that headlines lawsuits. Maria Watkins and Beverly Green are suing Suge Knight, Tha Row Records, Miramax Films and many others alleging intentional infliction of emotional distress and they also seek a temporary restraining order.
Maria Watkins, the ex-wife of Delmar “Daz Dillinger” Arnaud alleges she was slandered in the song “Tha Row (Ya’ll Hoes) which fires insults at Snoop Dogg and the members of the Dogghouse. In the song it is stated the unborn child Watkins was carrying did not belong to Daz but Suge Knight. According to MTV this statement led to Daz’s request of a paternity test and a divorce. The other plaintiff in the lawsuit Beverly Green, Snoop Dogg’s mother and Daz’s aunt who is mentioned in the song by Ganxta Ridd, who said he had sex with Green, a Baptist minister. The song appeared on the soundtrack to Eddie Griffin’s movie “Dysfunctional Family”.
