Even though no release date has been given for his next album, I am sure Eminem didn’t expect to catch the eye of the United States Secret Service with his lyrics, again. The Secret service is currently doing what they consider a routine probe into whether his lyrics could be seen as a threat posed against President George Bush in a song titled “We Are American” that has been leaked onto the internet.
In the song Eminem says, “….money, I don’t rap for dead presidents. I’d rather see the president dead”. Dennis Dennehy, a spokesperson for Eminem told CNN, “This was an unfinished song, either lost or stolen. There was no determination where, when, how or if it was going to be used.” John Gill, a spokesperson for the Secret Service said, “We are aware of the lyric and are in the process of determining what action, if any, will be taken. It would be saying too much to make too big a deal out of this”.
