Canadian deejay, turntablist and producer Kid Koala has gained notoriety in Hip Hop for his work on releases such as Deltron 3030’s self-titled release, as well as featuring with the Gorillaz and Handsome Boy Modeling School. Now, the Ninja Tune Records artist has announced his fifth solo album, 12 Bit Blues. The September 17 album finds Koala using an Emu SP-1200 sampler to create Blues compositions.
The packaging, on both LP and CD versions, features a build-your-own hand-powered turntable and flexi-disc record for buyers to deejay. The model, as advertised on the album cover, requires no batteries.
In 2006, Kid Koala released his last solo, Your Mom’s Favorite DJ. He since contributed to the score of 2010 film, Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World.

Anyone dissing Kid Koala is an idiot. His contributions to the Kulture are well documented. Before you dis, at least do your homework. Clearly you haven’t.
