This week, 50 Cent gave an interview proclaiming that he “disabled” his G-Unit comrades Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo by handling all of their promotion, thereby making them inequipped to handle pushing their own careers forward. Kanye West went public with his romance with Kim Kardashian, dedicating the song “Perfect Bitch” to the socialite and appearing in a commercial for the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards with her. Finally, Benzino spoke on how he’s ready to sit down with Eminem and talk out their differences, which have been long documented since the early ’00s.

50 Cent Says He “Disabled” Lloyd Banks & Tony Yayo

50 Cent previously said that he hadn’t spoken to G-Unit comrades Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo in months, elaborating on their distance during a recent interview. Fif explained that his excessive promotion for the guys “disabled” them, and that he did so much for them that they “don’t have a continuous work ethic.” “They got both of those tapes out there, but did you see any visuals? Anything? There’s certain things that the new guy is doing to create momentum or energy,” he said. “They just sit there and wait. When someone works for you, you have the habit of dealing with things by not dealing with them. You may get in the regimen of coming over and doing it for them.” He also explained how his new single “New Day” featuring Alicia Keys and Dr. Dre was originally intended for the latter’s fabled Detox, but that he took it for his upcoming album Street King Immortal.

Kanye West Goes Public With Kim Kardashian Relationship, Reveals New Song Dedicated To Her

Kanye West has always valued his privacy, refusing to do interviews with press and notoriously shunning technology like cell phones. But this week, he debuted a new cut titled “Perfect Bitch” off the upcoming G.O.O.D. Music compilation Cruel Summer, dropping September 4th. After premiering the song at a club in New York City, New York, Yeezy went onto Twitter to confirm that the song was about Kardashian. He later appeared with her and comedian Kevin Hart in a commercial for the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards. Also, he offered some insight into the recording of Watch the Throne with a new documentary that can be viewed below.

Benzino Says He’s Ready To Sit Down With Eminem

Benzino, former publisher for The Source, notoriously beefed with Eminem in the early ’00s, blocking him from the magazine and giving him subpar reviews for his albums. Years later, he appeared on MTV’s “RapFix Live” to reflect back on his career, stating that he’s ready to sit down with Marshall Mathers and patch up their differences. “It’d be good if we would be able to really sit down and meet,” he said. “It’s not like we’ve ever really been in a room together, ever really met and never really talked about the situation. I mean, I’d be open to it, you know what I mean? I understand that he’s a great influence on the culture. Thinking back, I probably could have did things differently. I had The Source as a platform, and you just get caught up and at the time, I was caught up.” Watch the full interview below.
