While in New York, Eminem and the Slaughterhouse crew spoke about their group and what fans can expect. Em also discussed how he’s learned from Dr. Dre in the past and how he’s using it with his own label and music.
“I think Hip Hop needs this,” Em said of the new Slaughterhouse album during his recent interview with Sway in the Morning. “When people hear it, they’re going to be pleasantly surprised, people who don’t know what they’re capable of.”
Eminem also shared that he has learned many tricks from Dr. Dre that have helped him along the way.
“I think Dre was the first one who actually taught me how to count bars. I would just go in and rap,” Em shared before saying he’s learned from his mentor. “All of Dre’s little tricks, I’ve stolen from him over the years. I’ve tried to apply it to my own music and everything. Dre taught me so much.”
Slaughterhouse also premiered a track off their album, “Goodbye.” The audio for the song can be heard below.

Ross completely denied being a CO when the rumors came out, then got caught lying when hard evidence became public, and then spun it on his next album rapping about how he was actually a gangsta CO the entire time.
You can like and defend his music but it doesn’t change that he’s the most enormous phony in the history of rap. Hip-hop used to sort of be about talking about real things, but it has all been muddled and corrupted up to guys like Ross who are corporate-packaged TV wrestling personalities dressed up as drug dealing gangstas to sell CDs and tickets to white teenagers who spend the money.
If you can defend that part, let me know. I just don’t see the appeal in indulging into any joints by a corporate-packaged fake like Ross rapping about being a drug trafficker and whatever no matter how good the music is.
