One of the most highly anticipated compilation albums ever has hit a minor, but unfortunate roadblock.

A disagreement between Sony and Priority Records has filtered down to their respective subsidiaries, Loud and Rawkus, two of hip-hop’s best-known labels. Apparently, Sony was not happy that Priority artist Snoop Dogg appeared on Sony albums by Lil Bow Wow and Xzibit. In response, Sony has forbidden Rawkus from including tracks by its artists Xzibit, Tash and M.O.P. on the Beatminerz new album. The songs have already been recorded but are being pulled from the album’s line-up.

That’s pretty wack, but the good news is that songs featuring ill rappers Last Emperor and Diamond (D) are replacing the tracks. The Beatminerz Brace for Impak is still scheduled to hit stores July 31.
