The magazine of hip-hop music, culture and politics has announced the nominees for its 2001 Source Awards.

Eminem and Outkast received five nominations each, and Snoop Dogg bagged four. Eminem, Outkast, Jay-Z, M.O.P. and Snoop Dogg will battle it out for album of the year. As for single of the year, Eminem’s Stan will face off against Outkast’s Ms. Jackson and Nelly’s Country Grammar, with the underdogs in this category being Ja Rule’s Put it on Me, Ludacris’ Southern Hospitality and Mystikal’s Shake Ya Ass.

Other categories include solo artist of the year, group of the year, newcomer of the year, producer of the year, lyricist of the year, video of the year, live performer of the year, and R & B artist of the year. Check thesource.com for full list of nominees.
