Last night, BET announced the winners for the BET Awards 2012 during the annual ceremony.
Big Sean, who performed with Kanye West, 2 Chainz and Pusha T during the show, walked away with the award for Best New Artist. Jay-Z and Kanye scored the trophy for Video of the Year for “Otis.” While giving their acceptance speech, Jay-Z jokingly interrupted ‘Ye as a throwback to his infamous Taylor Swift moment.
Diggy Simmons nabbed the Youngstars Award, while Chris Brown got both Best Male R&B Artist and Entertainer of the year. Beyonce won Video Director of the Year alongside Alan Ferguson for “Party,” as well as Best Female R&B Artist, while Wale and Miguel were honored for Best Collaboration for “Lotus Flower Bomb” and Nicki Minaj got Best Female Hip-Hop Artist.
