As Slaughterhouse, the group is preparing to drop their Shady debut. Crooked I, who recently released Psalm 82:V6, spoke about the new album, what he feels it will do for Hip Hop and how the group records “like a well oiled machine.” 

“I can’t wait until the people hear this,” he told DJ Skee of the new Slaughterhouse album. “I already know what it’s gonna be for Hip Hop. I’m not talking about Billboard charts. I’m talking about what it’s gonna do for Hip Hop. It’s gonna take Hip Hop to a whole ‘nother level.”

On being in a group, Crook explained that he has had to learn humility.

“You learn humility,” he expressed. “It can’t just be about you and you go from being a leader of many to a follower of few. It’s a life experience. It’s a great thing though. We’re like a well oiled machine when we get together. We don’t play…It’s beautiful, man. It’s been a great experience.”
