Even though the summer is over, Queen Latifah is still hoping to bring the heat when you attend her version of “The Cookout”. Hard at work on her next project, Queen Latifah is currently in production on her next movie appearance for Lions Gate Films in a story that she co-wrote with her longtime partner Shakim Compere titled “The Cookout”.
The story centers around a basketball star (played by Quran Pender) that ends up becoming the NBA’s number one draft pick and decides to throw a big cookout in his new mansion with his family and friends. Other cast members will include Ja Rule as his friend Bling Bling, Eve as Todd’s ex girlfriend, Jonathan Silverman, Jenifer Lewis as Todd’s Mother, Meagan Good as his new girlfriend, Tim Meadows, Farrah Fawcett and Danny Glover and Queen Latifah, this film is sure to be a success. Queen Latifah can also be seen in the next installment of the movie “Barbershop”, “My Wife is a Gangster” and “Taxi”.
